Applying a Systemic Approach in Recognizing the Factors Affecting Research and Development Capabilities in High-Tech Aerospace Industries

Abstract

companies are trying to invest more in innovative activities such as research and development projects. And pave the way for the future of their competition and business. concerning characteristics of R&D management, it is particularly important to find ways to ensure the success of this subject. since the aerospace industry is one of the industries with high technology and needs to move within the boundaries of knowledge, technology and research and development, so paying attention to research and development capabilities due to its cost and time consuming can be considered as one of the important pillars for the success of innovative organizational activities.
Due to the high complexity and the existence of various influential factors in the field of research and development capabilities of High-Tech Aerospace Industries, in this article, by using a systemic approach, the main causal diagrams related to research and development capabilities are developed to provide a suitable context to identify the factors affecting research and development capability, according to its role and performance in aerospace industry innovation. In Iran, despite the importance of the issue and its high impact at the national level, a suitable model has not yet been developed in this field. The diagrams developed in this article can be a great help to researchers, managers, policy makers and decision makers in order to obtain appropriate knowledge and pathology in order to formulate effective policies. The developed conceptual model can be used to create quantitative system models in this field.
